ISOCHEN SAFETY PVT LTD is hiring a MIG Welder for industrial plant operations at Tiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. MIG/MAG welding of fabricated assemblies to drawing and weld-procedure requirements.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate MIG/MAG welding machines to the approved welding procedure specification.
- Weld fabricated assemblies in the required positions to the quality standard set by the drawing.
- Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; check fit-up, root gap and joint preparation before welding.
- Inspect own work visually for undercut, porosity and incomplete fusion, and rectify defects.
- Maintain welding equipment, torches, liners and consumables in working order.
- Follow hot-work permit, fume-extraction and PPE requirements at all times.
Requirements
- ITI (Welder) or equivalent recognised welding certification.
- Proven MIG/MAG welding experience on structural or sheet-metal fabrication.
- Able to read fabrication drawings and weld symbols.
- Ability to pass a practical welder qualification test on site.
- Willing to work shifts in a fabrication shop environment.
Education
ITI (Welder) or equivalent trade certification
