ISOCHEN SAFETY PVT LTD is hiring a Welding Helper for industrial plant operations at Tiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. Assists welders with material handling, fit-up and shop-floor support. Freshers considered.
Responsibilities
- Move, position and hold components for the welder during fit-up and tacking.
- Prepare joints by grinding, cleaning and removing scale, rust and oil before welding.
- Handle consumables, change gas cylinders and keep the welding bay stocked and tidy.
- Assist with fixture setup and simple measurement under the welder's direction.
- Keep the work area clear of combustibles and comply with hot-work permit conditions.
- Learn basic welding technique on the job with a view to progressing to welder.
Requirements
- ITI is preferred but freshers with basic shop-floor exposure will be considered.
- Physically fit for material handling and sustained standing work.
- Willing to work in a hot, noisy fabrication environment with full PPE.
- Basic ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Willing to work shifts.
